Alafarika for Studies and Consultancy welcomes your willingness to publish with us and accepts publications, including books, papers, and articles, in our areas of interest. We focus more on Africa’s geopolitics and governance, economy and trade, security and conflict resolution, education, science and technology, regional integration and global cooperation, and culture and media. Areas of interest include politics, developmental issues, economics, technology, security challenges, terrorism, and other societal challenges.

To contact us about publishing, please send us your proposal (via email in MS Word format) to publish{a}alafarika.com. Alafarika’s editorial team will screen and evaluate the significance of the proposal; it should include the proposed title, the data and its sources, the methodology and approach of analysis, the expected results, and the target audience. The topic must be strong, original, and not have been published before. The proposal must be exclusive to Alafarika for Studies and Consultancy, which reserves the right to translate, print, publish, and distribute it.

The Alafarika editorial board reviews all submitted studies and research materials and provides the author with comments or recommendations from the editorial board and review committee. The material will be published only after the required modifications/recommendations are made.

If the author is publishing for the first time with Alafarika, the author is required to attach a recent passport-sized color photograph with a white background and a short biographical profile of 150 words.

Situation Reports

Situation Reports are articles that provide in-depth reports of current African issues. Topics covered include new trends, non-state actors, or regional developments in their relationship with the world. Situation Reports seek to reveal contemporary issues and predict possible outcomes.

  • Criteria: It must meet the criteria for objective publication and not be published in any way on any other platform or website.
  • Word count: between 800 and 1,500 words (including footnotes and references).

Analyses

Analyses are articles that provide in-depth analysis of current African issues. Topics covered include geopolitics, new trends, non-state actors, or regional developments in their relationship with the world. Situation reports seek to explain and contextualize the reasons behind contemporary issues and predict possible outcomes and scenarios.

  • Criteria: It must meet the criteria for objective publication and not be published in any way on any other platform or website.
  • Word count: between 1,500 and 2,500 words (including footnotes and references).

Books

The books published by Alafarika cover studies and research that shed light on issues related to Africa, study regional and global transformations, and anticipate future scenarios from geopolitical, strategic, economic, security, and other perspectives.

Criteria

  • The book’s plan should be strong, original, and represent a new contribution to its scholarly field.
  • It must adhere to the requirements of scientific research in terms of methodology, validity of data and information, honesty in quoting sources, accuracy in citing references, and textual and linguistic coherence without excessive verbosity and repetition.
  • The book proposal should include an executive summary (about 800 words), an introduction, the methodology, a theoretical framework, a main text on the topic, and a conclusion with the main results.
  • Language: Alafarika publishes its books in both Arabic and English.
  • Word count: no less than 30,000 words (including footnotes and references).

Research Paper (Alafarika Journals)

Alafarika publishes its research papers in periodicals and journals in English, Arabic, and French. Research papers deal with Africa’s geopolitics and governance, economy and trade, security and conflict resolution, education, science and technology, regional integration and global cooperation, and culture and media.
